Championships, the decision who made it to the finals in the five-player
ream event went down to the very last frame.
Germany had already secured the No. 1 seed with a huge 1219 game.
Singapore rolled 1184 to earn the No. 2 seed. The
United States topped
Korea, 1138 to 1092, to beat out the defending champion by 21 pins. Finishing last,
Colombia's Rocio Restrepo and Clara Juliana Guerrero struck out in the tenth frame to overtake the Americans by two pins and to claim the No. 3 seed. Team USA took the No. 4 seed and Korea
was eliminated.
Mai Ginge Jensen of Denmark took gold in All Events with
Caroline Lagrange, Canada, in second and
Shannon Pluhowsky, USA, third.
