Wichita State senior Olivia Sandham earned the women's division top seed for match play at the 2006 USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championships by posting a 12-game qualifying total of 2,781, a 231.75 average, on the USBC Sport Bowling long lane pattern at Olympic Lanes on Monday. Lindenwood junior Brian Valenta, who was runner-up at this event in 2004, led the men's field with 2,487 over 12 games (207.25).

The much-heralded University of Central Florida senior opened Friday's six-game qualifying round with a perfect game, helping her solidify a spot at the 2006 USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championships, which will be held May 22-23 at Olympic Lanes in Milwaukee.
