2005 Singles

Fresno State sophomore and No. 1 seed P.J. Haggerty (pictured) defeated San Jose State sophomore Jason Andersen 3-1 in the best-of-5 title match to win the men's 2005 Collegiate Singles Championships at Olympic Lanes. Newman junior Bianca Montagnino came from the No. 6 seed to claim the women's national championship, defeating Kansas senior Kelly Zapf, Rochester, N.Y. Haggerty received the Joe Norris Trophy and Montagnino was presented with the Marion Ladewig Trophy.

The United States Bowling Congress Collegiate Program will conduct the second annual Collegiate Singles Championships, a USBC event, on May 22-24, 2005, at Olympic Lanes in Milwaukee. The event, which debuted at Olympic Lanes in May 2004, will feature the top 16 male and top 16 female collegiate bowlers in the country competing for national titles.
