Wolfgang Lohschmid, tournament director of the Vienna Open, a major tournament on the European Bowling Tour, has announced today that the Presidium of the European Tenpin Bowling Federation has decided at its meeting, February 6-7 in Vienna, to accept his offer to host the
2010 EBT Masters. The third ETB Masters will be held May 3-4, 2010 at 32-lane Plus Bowling, home of the Vienna Open, immediately following a newly formed tournament -
The Austria Challenge. The inaugural Austria Challenge, which will be contested from Wednesday, April 28 through Sunday, May 2, 2010, will offer a total prize fund of
41.900 Euro.
The presidium of the European Tenpin Bowling Federation (ETBF) has announced the sites and venues for the European Bowling Tour Masters 2014 and 2015. The EBT Masters 2014, the men's and women's finals of the 2013 European Bowling Tour, will be held March 3, 2014 at Dolfijn Bowling in Tilburg, Netherlands, while the EBT Masters 2015 takes place June 29, 2015 at Bowling Red & Black in Asti, Italy.
Gianluca De Angelis (l.), Italy, and Romeo Gagenoiu (r.), Romania, led the eighth and ninth qualifying squad of the 2nd Ebonite Roma International en route to move into fourth and seventh place in the overall qualifying standings with 1255 and 1212 six-game total, respectively. Giovanni Battagli continued to lead the field of 206 players from seven countries with 1312. Qualifying continues on Wednesday, Nov. 9, with Squads 10 and 11. 
The European Tenpin Bowling Federation has announced some major changes in the European Bowling Tour 2011 and 2012. The 2011 English Open originally scheduled for Nov. 16-20 in Nuneaton has lost its EBT (silver) status after changing to a "conditional prize fund" which is not permitted according to the EBT rules. The 2011 European Bowling Tour now consists of 20 tour stops in 16 countries including two Platinum, six Gold, six Silver and six Satellite tournaments. In addition, two date changes were accepted for the 2012 Tour.
The presidium of the European Tenpin Bowling Federation (ETBF) has announced the dates and venues for the 2012 European Bowling Tour. The 13th edition of the Tour will consist of record 23 tournaments, two "Platinum", five "Gold", nine "Silver" and seven "Satellite" events. 20 out of 21 EBT tournaments from the 2011 season will return in 2012. The three newcomers are the Croatia Open, the Brunswick Italia Challenge and the Brunswick French Open.
The European Tenpin Bowling Federation (ETBF) has announced that the schedule for the 2011 European Bowling Tour has been changed. The Norwegian Open in Oslo, Norway, originally scheduled for Aug. 5-14, will be postponed to August 19-28, 2011. The BNC Open in Bratislava, Slovakia, originally scheduled for Aug. 22-28, will be held Aug. 15-21. The ETBF Presidium has decided to appoint Bratislava as host of EBT Masters 2013 immediately following the BNC Open 2013. The dates are not decided yet.
The 2011 Brunswick Euro Challenge has been granted "Platinum" status for the 2011 European Bowling Tour by the European Tenpin Bowling Federation (ETBF). The total prize fund will increase by 16.000 Euro to a total prize fund of 106.000 Euro. The organizers have also changed the format of the finals. The 2011 Brunswick Euro Challenge will be held from March 4th through 13th at Le Plaza Bowling in St. Maxim at the outskirts of Paris, France. The 2011 EBT consists of 22 tournaments. 
Within in a week, the 2010 European Bowling Tour lost two of its tournaments and was reduced to 19 events as the Austria Challenge (EBT Silver) in Vienna and the Ankara Open (EBT Gold) in Turkey have been cancelled by the organizers. The EBT also announced that the tournament in Torneo Internazionale di Roma, Italy was postponed from September to November and the 2010 EBT Masters will be moved from Vienna to Aalborg, Denmark.
The European Bowling Tour has announced that bowling center "Gladiator Arena" in Ljubljana, Slovenia will host the 2011 EBT Masters. The 2011 Masters is the season-ending event of the 2010 European Bowling Tour featuring the top 16 men and the top 16 women of the tour's 2010 point rankings. The 2011 Masters will be conducted on April 11-12 immediately following the 5th QubicaAMF Open 2011, an EBT event. Paul Moor, England, and Kamilla Kjeldsen, Denmark, are the defending EBT Masters champions. 
Stefano Coppa, organizer of the Oltremare Championships in Naples, Italy has informed European Bowling Tour director Kim Thorsgaard Jensen that the 2009 edition of the event has been cancelled. The 6th Oltremare Championships, an EBT Major, was scheduled for November 14-22, 2009 as the 16th stop of the 2009 European Bowling Tour. The 2009 European Bowling Tour now consists of 15 tournaments - 11 Majors and 4 Challengers. The next stop is the 5th Storm San Marino Open from July 4-12, 2009.
In the year 2010, the Ballmaster Open tournament in Finland will celebrate its 40th anniversary. To underline the status as the longest running bowling tournament in Europe and the sole tournament which was on the European Bowling Tour schedule in every season since the tour's inception in the year 2000, tournament organizer Kimmo Lehtonen has applied for Platinum status in 2010 and has raised the total prize fund from 75.000 to 105.000 Euro. Lehtonen, a long-time Finish national team member and 2005 World Ranking Masters champion, has also announced that the Ballmaster finals will feature 16-player Round Robin match play followed by a stepladder final.
The European Bowling Tour has announced that Dutch Priscilla Maaswinkel (l.) will replace Marilyn Planchard (r.), France in the women's division of the second EBT Masters. Planchard cited "personal reasons" for her decision. The Masters is the 2008 season-ending event of the European rankings featuring the top 16 men and women and will be held at Lovvang Bowling Center in Aalborg, Denmark, May 25-26, 2009.
The European Bowling Tour has announced that Pasi Uotila (pictured left), Finland, has withdrawn from participating in the 2nd EBT Masters which will be held at Lovvang Bowling Center in Aalborg, Denmark, May 25-26, 2009. The Masters is the 2008 season-ending event of the European rankings featuring the top 16 men and women. Uotila, ranked 9th, has a hand injury and will be replaced by No. 18 Remy Ong (right), Singapore.
2007 World Ranking Masters champion Stuart Williams (pictured left) has withdrawn from 2009 European Bowling Tour Masters. Instead of participating in the Masters to be held at May 25-26 at Bowling Center, Aalborg, Denmark.
The top 16 men and the top 16 women from the rankings of the 2008 EBT season earned a spot in the 2nd EBT Masters. Williams will be replaced by No. 17 Mads Sandbækken (right), Norway.
