60 men and 60 women qualify for "American Zone Final Ranking"

2006 American Zone Rankings
American Zone president Jose Guandique from El Salvador has forwarded the official final standings of the 2006 American Zone Rankings.
The American Zone was divided in five regions for the 2006 rankings, North consisting of Canada and United States of America, Central with Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua, Caribbean featuring Aruba, Bahamas, Bermuda, Cuba, Dominican Republic, the Netherlands Antilles, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands, South 1 with Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Perú and Venezuela, and South 2 including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.
However, as just 14 (Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Panama, Puerto Rico, USA and Venezuela) of the 27 member countries participated in the 2006 rankings, the Central region had the most participants with four and the South region 2 the least with only one, Brazil.
The top 12 men and the top 12 women in each of the five regions qualified for the "American Zone Final Ranking" to be held in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, from Jan. 31st to Feb. 4th.
Those 60 men and 60 women will determine the 8 men and 8 women, who will represent the American Zone in the 2007 World Ranking Masters in Doha, Qatar.
