BOB is Back! Bowling's Outrageous "Block-Party" Returns to International Bowl Expo 2008

Universal Studio's City Walk to host Thursday Night Event

The very successful Bowling's Outrageous "Block-Party" (BOB), first appearing at International Bowl Expo 2005, will return as the final night event at International Bowl Expo 2008 (IBE 2008), according to the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America (BPAA). BOB is scheduled for Thursday evening June 26 from 7 - 10 p.m. and will be sponsored by QubicaAMF.

Similar to 2005, Universal City Walk has reserved a "full block" exclusively for International Bowl Expo 2008. City Walk is an entertainment 'hot spot' located within the Universal Studios theme park complex. Bob Marley's, Pat O'Brien's, Groove, City Jazz and Latin Quarter are the five venues that will await BOB participants. Entertainment includes The Commodores (pictured right), the largest selling act during the 70's and 80's. The Commodores racked up a string of hits including "Machine Gun", "Brick House", "Easy", "Three Times A Lady", "Sail On", "Oh No", "Slippery When Wet", "To Hot Ta Trot", "Night Shift" and many others that literally moved an entire generation. In addition, BOB attendees get to hear country superstar and multiple entertainer of the year award winner Neal McCoy plus, direct from the Caribbean, 'Dread,i' sitting in with Bob Marley's house band along with "Sax Maestro" Connis Vanterpool, Pat O'Brien's dueling pianos, and City Jazz's house band. BOB was a huge success in 2005 and is set to be even bigger in 2008. 'Bowling - Nation's #1 Sport and The Rock of Entertainment' is the theme as International Bowl Expo 2008 returns to Orlando and the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel June 22 - 27, 2008. Exhibits will be housed in Orlando's Orange County Convention Center on June 25th and 26th. All other Bowl Expo events and educational seminars will be conducted at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel.
