Chan Shuk Han, Hussain Al-Suwaidi continue to lead Asian Rankings

2008HKGOpenChanShukHan_small.jpg 2008AsCHussainAlSuwaidi_small.jpg Chan Shuk Han (left) of Hong Kong, China, and Hussain Al-Suwaidi (right), UAE, held on to the lead in the women's and men's Asian Bowling Federation rankings after the conclusion of the 6th GCC Championship in Kuwait and the Chinese Taipei Open, respectively.

Shuk Han, who took the lead in the women's division with victory in the season opening ABF Tour Tournament of Champions, leads the ranking field of 198 women with 407 points.

2008ASCChoiJinA_small.jpg 2008AsCJeonEunHee2_small.jpg With less than two month to go before the end of the ranking season, the spinner has a comfortable 147 lead over Choi Jin-A (left) from Korea, who sits in second place with 260 points. Her team mate Jeon Eun-Hee (right) is third with 220.

The third Korean among the top 8, Hwang Sun-Ok, is fifth with 200 points, sandwiched between Malaysians Zandra Aziela and Shalin Zulkifli, who sit in fourth and sixth place with 208 and 199 points, respectively.

Rounding out the top 8 are Chien Hsiu-Lan, Chinese Taipei (182) and Jazreel Tan, Singapore (180).

Arab bowlers occupy 5 of the top 8 spots with Basel Al-Anzi (right), Kuwait , in third with 325, Bandar Al-Shafi, Qatar, in fourth with 319, Shaker Al-Hassan, UAE, in fifth with 308 and Naif Oqab, UAE, in seventh with 293.

Guam and Chinese Taipei Open Masters champion Wu Siu Hong of Hong Kong, China, moved into 6th place with 300 points. The 8th and last spot to qualify for the 2009 World Ranking Masters in Italy belongs to Alex Liew, Malaysia, with 267.
