Montreal hosts 2010 CTF Annual Meeting April 23-24

The Greater Montreal Tenpin Association played host for the 2010 Canadian Tenpin Federation Annual Meeting and National Mixed Championships.
The Radisson Hotel in Laval, Quebec was the site of the annual gathering of delegates which began with a workshop and Open Forum on Friday, April 23rd and concluded with the delegates meeting on April 24th.
Ten candidates were seeking election for three positions on the board of directors.
Re-elected to the board was Cathy Innes, Surrey, British Columbia and Joe Nunes, Montreal, QC. Jim Lester, Sarnia, Ontario was elected to replace John McLean, Kingston, ON, who did not seek re-election.
They join the following members who govern the sport in Canada:
Innes was elected President by the board following the annual meeting. She has held the presidency since 2004. Nunes was elected as first Vice President and Barrie Mackenzie, Windsor, ON. was elected second Vice President.
Kelowna, BC will host the 2011 annual meeting and National Mixed Championships.
The Canadian Tenpin Federation was formed in 1969 to qualify representatives for international competition. CTF became a full membership organization on August 1, 2004 to deliver membership services to 40,000 plus registered tenpin bowlers in Canada.
Membership services had previously been provided by the American Bowling Congress, the Women's International Bowling Congress and the Young American Bowling Alliance who were headquartered in the USA.
