Brunswick Euro Challenge receives EBT Platinum status in 2011

The 2011 Brunswick Euro Challenge has been granted "Platinum" status for the 2011 European Bowling Tour by the European Tenpin Bowling Federation (ETBF). The total prize fund will increase by 16.000 Euro to a total prize fund of 106.000 Euro.
The 2011 Brunswick Euro Challenge will be held from March 4th through 13th at Le Plaza Bowling in St. Maxim at the outskirts of Paris, France.
The organizers have announced that the format of the finals will be changed as follows:
The tournaments on the European Bowling Tour are divided into four categories: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Satellite.
The 2011 EBT now consists of 22 tournaments - two Platinum, six Gold, seven Silver and seven Satellite tournaments.

Tournament features 106.000 Euro prize fund, round robin and 3-player stepladder final

The organizers have announced that the format of the finals will be changed as follows:
- 64 players qualify for the final. The top 12 earn one bye.
- Round 1 - 52 players will bowl 6 games starting from scratch
- Round 2 - 28 players will bowl 6 games starting from scratch
- Round Robin - 8 players will bowl 7 games plus position with Round 2 totals being carried forward
- Stepladder final - the top 3 players will determine the champion in two one-game matches
